Hi everyone,
I'm so sorry that I've been so MIA these past few months, but it's because I have been working on a new project!
I've moved to word press and started a new blog there. Please check it out!

Caramelized Pan-Roasted Broccoli

Hey there!

I feel like broccoli is always second best. Kind of like being vice president, or always being in the shadow of someone else. I feel you, broccoli.

This has to be one of my favorite pictures ever taken. The green of the broccoli, the reddish bricks, and the blue nails! I'm in photography heaven!

Anyhow, we're going to discuss broccoli today. Take out your notes and pencils, children. Welcome to the caramelized broccoli course at veggie elementary.
Broccoli is something I've always loved. I know, I was a weird kid.
I'd eat it roasted, sautéed, steamed, pureed into baby food (maybe not).

Even if you don't like broccoli, you'll love this recipe.
The broccoli caramelizes and gets all browned and tasty, and turns a gorgeous shade of green (above pic). It's so yummy.
Trust me. Just do it. ;)

Hope you love it!
Huge internet hugs,
Meggi <3

Apple Pie Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

I'm ready for fall......

Ready for skinny jeans and boots, oversized sweaters, pumpkin spice, and apple cider.
All that's left is waiting for the leaves to fall. Sigh.
I don't think the trees are getting the hint to start making their leaves all pretty and orange.
One house on my street has a great big tree in their yard, and leaves are everywhere. However, at my house, no leaves have even turned a little reddish. *sad face*

Oh well, I mean I can just snuggle up in my skinny jeans and oversized sweaters, eat grilled cheese, and pretend it's fall.
Am I right?
Yes, I am. These grilled cheese sandwiches are so good.
Quite possibly the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had. I've had a lot.
The sharp saltiness of the pecorino and parmesan complement the amazing taste of the warm spiced apples. Then stuff it all in some bread and toast it in some EVOO and you've got some good food right there.
Sweet and salty? Sweet and salty.
Mmmm.
